Historical
The Palatinate region has a wealth of history to offer, having been a center of imperial and royal power in the Middle Ages. Many of these castles, palaces, and churches are still preserved today and can be explored.

Food and Drink
Food and drink are highly valued here in the Palatinate. There are not only typical regional dishes like Saumagen (sausage) and liverwurst or “Grumbeere” (a kind of German sausage) and Dampfnudeln (steamed dumplings), but also a wealth of unique regional products made from almonds, figs, or Keschde (chestnuts).
